Cuphead Wiki

Senita[1] is an NPC that appears on Inkwell Isle Four in the The Delicious Last Course. She is an anthropomorphic cactus who speaks with a Southern drawl.

Description[]

Appearance[]

Senita is an anthropomorphic green cactus with dark green arms, hollow eyes, pink blush, and a red flower on the side of her head. She wears a light blue dress, white gloves, and red shoes.

Function[]

When interacting with Senita, her dialogue inadvertently requests the player to defeat all the bosses, both in the base game and the DLC, with Ms. Chalice. She explains how she'd heard about a "ghostly gal" fighting enemies nearby, whom she wants to track the exploits of. Senita wishes to tell these exploits as 'tales', with the title of each alluding to the bosses Ms. Chalice has yet to defeat (e.g., "The Tale of That Slime Smashed Silly" alluding to Goopy Le Grande).

The given bosses can be fought on any difficulty level, and completed with any rank. In two-player mode, it is acceptable for the non-Ms. Chalice player to damage the boss without landing the finishing blow, though it only counts if Player One is Ms. Chalice. Run 'n Gun levels are not accounted for, nor are the mini-bosses in All Bets Are Off!, the King of Games' champions, or the Angel and Devil.

Senita keeps track of the bosses defeated by using tallies around her campfire. Once all the bosses have been defeated by Ms. Chalice, the campfire will be lit and a total of twenty-five tallies will be around it. Talking to Senita one last time afterwards unlocks a new skin for Ms. Chalice.

Listed below are the lines of dialogue Senita has that allude to the bosses.

Trivia[]

  • Senita appears to be a finalized version of the unused "Chalice Fan" NPC, as the internal code refers to her as "ChaliceFanB", whereas the unused NPC is "ChaliceFanA".[2] "Chalice Fan" was also Senita's name during the DLC's prototype development.[1]
  • Her name is likely derived from the cactus species Lophocereus schottii, commonly known as the “senita cactus”.
