Buckley[1], referred to as the Newsie Cat in the game's internal code, is one of the NPCs appearing on Inkwell Isle Four in The Delicious Last Course. He advertises newspapers about Chef Saltbaker and gives the player three coins when spoken to for the first time.

Buckley is an anthropomorphic black cat with a cream-colored face and red nose. He wears a green shirt with white and green sleeves, brown shorts, yellow gloves and shoes, and a red newsie cap with a white button.

- According to translator notes in Cuphead's localization file, Buckley speaks with a British accent.[2] The way his dialogue is written additionally implies he has a Cockney dialect.
Inspirations and similarities[]
- Buckley is similar to cartoonist Pat Sullivan and animator Otto Messmer's character Felix the Cat, particularly his more tan-faced appearance in shorts produced by Van Beuren Studios.
